I was looking for a nice little leather overnight duffle bag and was immediately attracted to the simple yet original design of this Matt & Nat Faithless duffle bag but I didn’t realize it was faux leather until I actually received it in the mail and noticed the large hang tags an lining print that made it clear that this was entirely made from recycled plastic bottles. At first I had considered returning it since I was originally interested in an authentic leather bag but the more I spent time reviewing this bag, the more I thought to myself that if I wanted to make a positive impact on other in the trend towards reducing our carbon foot print, I ought to give this bag a legitimate try.

I guess some of my original concerns were whether it would have the longevity that I would have often expect of real leather goods. Second was would it wear over time with kind of authentic personality that leathers usually gain over time. The oddest thing was on my first original order, the inside pockets had been sewn in upside down which I thought must have been a fluke in production so at that moment I had considered just returning it but I really do love the overall design of this bag so I opted to have it replaced which they took care of immediately.

We’ll have to see how it withstand my next trip. I’ll come back with a what’s in my bag review with this duffle on my next trip in a couple of weeks.
