Social Issues

Society of the Spectacle’s seasonal theme will be based on specific social issues of public interest. A major focus of the web site will be creating an open forum for discussion regarding social issues. At the beginning of each season, the S.O.S. our valued consutomers and supporters for social issues of interest, we will post the top five issues on our website in a poll form which will allow our consumers to vote for which issue they are concerned with the most. We will use the most popular social issue to serve as a theme for the next season’s products. This might include messaging, graphic designs that analogize the message, and perhaps some textile designs inspired by the geographic locality of these social issues.

Contributions to social issues

Society of the Spectacle’s charitable foundation, which will contribute to social causes that are consistent with each season's social interest topic. The foundation will be funded through 5% of our gross profit. Society of the Spectacle intends on implementing this donation contribution beginning at the end of the 2008.

Society of the Spectacle will also be dedicated to promoting and utilizing environmentally sound products and services. This includes organic and sustainable textiles and packaging.
